Hard Candy Duo + NYX Eyeliner

Two of my favorite eye makeup products that I have been using for the past year now are my Hard Candy Eye Shadow Duo "High Maintenance" and my NYX Retractable Eyeliner in black.

I start off with the lighter shade in the Hard Candy Duo and put it all over my lid. After applying the lighter shade all over my lid, I also apply the lighter shade in the inner corner to open and brighten my eye. Once I am done with the lighter shade, I take the dark brown and place it in the crease of my eyelid and on the outer corner for a smokey, gradient effect. 

After I do that, I take my trusty NYX retractable eyeliner and tightline my upper lash line, apply it on my waterline, and make a small thin line on the top of my lash line to define my eye.

This eye makeup takes me no more than five minutes. 

I highly recommend trying a NYX eyeliner if high end brands aren't in your price range. They work amazingly. You can check this eyeliner out on their website here.

Amnesty International

I recently helped start a branch of Amnesty International at my school.  I have since been elected president, which I am extremely grateful for.

What is Amnesty International?

• Amnesty is a club dedicated to combating social injustices around the world
• We work to protect people wherever justice, freedom, truth and dignity are denied

Treat of the Week: Root Beer Float

Hello! I decided to start a new weekly post on my blog called "Treat of the Week" ( #totw ). This week, I decided to feature one of my favorites, a root beer float. I make my root beer float a little differently due to the fact I am lactose intolerant. I instead use Lactaid Vanilla Ice Cream or Soy Vanilla Ice Cream or Coconut Vanilla Ice Cream.

My Adventures to the Cape...

As the weather got warmer a month ago, I started to go to the Cape. I have been two times so far, and hope that as the summer progresses I can go a few more times. I took pictures while I was there, and here are some of them:

4-24-15: Breakfast

I made breakfast this morning, and it was absolutely delicious.

I have made this one a few times before. so I figured I would share it with you.

What you'll need: 

• Vanilla Almond Milk
• A bowl
• Walnuts
• Almonds
• A banana
• 2 strawberries
• A handful of blueberries
• Flaxseed

I started out by taking out the fruit I would be using, and then I rinsed the berries.

Then, I cut the strawberries and the banana. I placed all the fruit into the bowl,

topping the fruit with walnuts, almonds, and flaxseed. Then covered the fruit and toppings with vanilla almond milk.

Beginning of Spring: Photoshoot

The other day my best friend, Veronica, and I had a little photo shoot. It was the first warm day we had seen it months, and it finally felt like spring. Naturally, we were extremely excited. Veronica did my makeup and helped me choose an outfit, but I ended up taking more pictures of her. (I prefer to be the photographer instead of the one being photographed)

I love the pictures, and my dog even joined in at one point, so without further ado, here are our pictures: (she's the blonde)
